Terms

These terms cover every project I take on through this site. They are short on purpose; if anything here is unclear, ask before we start.

Working together

A project starts with a written proposal: what I will make, by when, and for how much. When you accept it, half the fee is invoiced as a deposit, and the work starts when the deposit is paid. The work is yours once it is paid for in full; until then it stays mine, and I may show it in my portfolio unless we agree otherwise.

Timescales

Dates are agreed in the proposal. If one of mine moves, I tell you as soon as I know, and say what changes because of it; if one of yours moves — feedback, content, a sign-off — the dates after it move by the same amount. A pause of more than a month ends the current stage, and the work done so far is invoiced.

Payment

Invoices are raised at the start of each stage and are due within fourteen days. Work pauses while an invoice is overdue. If a project is cancelled, the deposit covers the work done up to that point, and anything beyond it is invoiced at the rate in the proposal.
